We spent the night for our anniversary and had a great time. My wife loved the outdoor private bath. Beautiful, clean, private and peaceful, great hot shower and a comfy king size bed.

Would highly recommend staying here, absolutely secluded peaceful, the bed was so comfortable, the outside bath was a beautiful tranquill touch pure serenity!! The amenities were clean and well setout also the outside kitchen worked very well for us! Loved the chimney used both days kept us warm and cosy! This retreat is so close to local wineries 🍷perfect locationWill definitely come back! Bird and animal wildlife amazing big bonus the place is very pet friendly.

Stayed at the Rainshadow Retreat for 4 nights to celebrate my first wedding anniversary. The place is beautiful! Great if you want to rest away from the city, have the nature around you, serenity and calmness. With I would’ve stayed longer! ✨

We have stayed at several Airbnb’s in SA and both agree Rainshadow Retreat has been our favourite yet.
What stood out for us was the views, privacy, attention to detail and all the amenities you need.
We stayed one night with our small dog who loved exploring the surroundings.
The highlight for me was the outdoor bath. It was a very still night, not a breath of wind, so quiet and I could gaze at the stars.
A very relaxing and comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was absolutely perfect! Private, comfortable, beautiful surrounds and the exact romantic escape we were after! We will be coming back for sure!

I’ll start off by saying I am fussy, and this met my expectations and more. It is completely private, and the views are spectacular. I can see this place, down to the furniture has been built with love and care. Every detail is perfection, the decor is warm and inviting, down to the original artwork, the stunning outdoor tub with views, and the decking with comfy oak chairs and handmade bar where you can eat breaky or have a glass of wine at night, and gaze out over the hills and as night falls, a perfect view of the stars.
The bed is comfy and great quality linens and fluffy towels make it feel like a little luxury stay, every need has been thought of and condiments kindly provided in the outdoor kitchen.
I had several soaks in the outdoor tub, bath salts and bubbles provided, and felt completely spoiled and nurtured. The wine and chocolates were so appreciated.
Thankyou so much for sharing this little piece of paradise with the world. We will return, and bring our dogs next time.

Magnificent place, really well put together, very comfortable, very private and quiet. Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere yet 10-15 mins to cafes and shops. Really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet retreat. Thanks so much for this wonderful "Rainshadow Retreat" Also the bath experience is Next Level. Well done guys.
